Type II Portland Cement
Description :
The changes in the raw materials of this type of cement resulting to quality optimization of the above cement and such changes have brought about 20% reduction in Alkali and MgO.
This type of cement is not only semi – sulphate resisting but also has the mechanical resistance similar to the type I cement.
Uses :
The concrete paving that requires moderate Hydration heat and to some extent they have expected sulphates resistance. This cement can be used for the same purpose as type I cement.
Advantages :
This cement is a modified of type I cement which is adjusted for the generated heat and to some extend this cement of sets the sulphates attack to the concrete.
This cement has a suitable mechanical resistance.
Limitations :
For those areas, which are severely affected by the sulphat attacks.
For those concert paving which require high primary resistance.
A concrete paving in a very cold weather.
